The River Boyne
The Boyne rises near Edenderry, near Offaly and flows in a northeasterly direction for 70 miles before entering the Irish Sea at Drogheda. This is one of Ireland's premier game fisheries and both the main channel and the tributaries offer a wide range of angling, from Spring salmon and grilse to sea trout and extensive brown trout fishing. Spring Salmon season February to Late May or early June.Generally fly fishing and spinning produce a substantial number of fish. A river well worth fishing.

The River Dee
The River Dee is highly regarded as a Brown Trout, Sea Trout and Salmon Fishery. It is one of few rivers in Ireland where three Sea winter fish, 20-35lb in weight are still recorded. The season is from 1st Feb - 30 Sept. Most fisherman rely on worm, fly or shrimp to catch their fish. Visit http://www.fishingireland.net  for more info.

The River Fane
In its upper reaches the River Fane, which is 38 miles long, straddles the border counties of Monaghan and Armagh. The River flows in a SE direction to discharge its waters to the sea at Dundalk bay.

The quality of fishing varies, and the typical size fluctuates from 0.5 to 0.75lb. The fishing is nearly all tightly controlled, either by the riparian owners or angling clubs and associations on the river.

The River Glyde
The River Glyde rises in Co Caven NE of the town of Bailieborough, and flows east for 35 miles before joining the River Dee a mile above Annagassan.Once again salmon and sea trout is yor main quarry.
